Data Migrations Ltd offers a new class of network products for Secure
and Virtual Private Networks. Defined as Next Generation Network
& Security Solutions, Data Migrations Ltd 's NetScreen and Cisco
PIX offer the first solutions that combine VPN, Firewall and traffic
management functionality. VPN's simply require internet access,
rather than the more expensive leased lines or private circuits.
The central site will require a high speed Internet access such
as the Data Migrations Ltd ADSL service or we can get leased lines.
Virtual Private Network's (VPN's) are networks deployed on a public
network infrastructure that employ the same security, management,
and quality of service policies applied in a private network.
Benefits of using VPN's include cost savings and extending connectivity
to telecommuters, mobile users and remote offices as well as to
new constituencies, such as customers, suppliers and partners.
For the enterprise customer, VPN's are an alternative WAN infrastructure
that replace or augment existing private networks that utilise
leased-line or Frame Relay/ATM networks. Increasingly, enterprise
customers are turning to their service providers for VPN's and
other complete service solutions tailored to their particular
business. VPN's are a fundamental building block in delivering
New World services that benefit you and your business customers.

Virtual private network's (VPN's) connect branch offices and
remote user over a shared or public network such as the Internet,
with the same security and availability as a private network.
Because VPN's use an existing shared wide area network (WAN) infrastructure,
costs are lower and deployment is faster than traditional private
networks. Telecommuters, mobile users and branch offices all require
dependable access to company network, and businesses of all sizes
are now deploying VPN's.
Business use of VPN's fall into three categories:
(1) Remote access: VPN's provide a cost-effective alternative
to standard dial-in remote access (RAS) to a company network.
Users can connect to the network via the Internet, eliminating
expensive long-distance costs. An employee on the road can gain
full network access simply by tapping into an Internet connection.
Overseas offices can connect directly to the corporate database
over local Internet access instead of a more expensive leased
line or international call.
(2) Intranets: Use of a VPN for smaller branch offices, franchise
sites, and remote workers provides nearly the same level of connectivity
and reliability as a private network. Costs are lower, because
Internet connections replace expensive leased lines. More desktops
can gain access to the network, because a VPN allows new users
to be added almost instantly. This extends the reach of the company
network, so all employees can take advantage of its information
and resources.
(3) Extranets: Extending a corporate network to include customers,
suppliers and other business partners enables workers to research
products, place and fulfil orders, and collaborate via a secure
Internet connection. By involving customers and suppliers, a VPN
smoothes the transition to electronic commerce and other forms
of online ordering and fulfilment.
Because this business-to-business communication is done via the
Internet, connection costs are low. It can enable productivity-boosting
applications such as EDI, and streamline business processes such
as ordering, shipping and billing.
